Nomenclature

Well, the blog's been operating for just over a year now.  As I said on the first post, the name does not mean I'm looking for job applicants.  There is a slightly more well known Manpower already in existance (little p though).  Since I just came up with the name on the spur of the moment as I stumbled into creating a blog, and since I've decided this shouldn't be relegated to only men, I'm thinking about changing the name.  What do you suggest?  I think it should complement the tag line underneath it.  Whoever comes up with the best name gets a free lunch or dinner at the (cheap) restaurant of their choice!

  1. I like "ManPower".

If you want to be all PC and everything, then maybe "Man And Woman Power". Oh but that might unintentionally convey the image that you endorse a biblical view of marriage, and people might boycott your blog.

My official answer is thus going to be "Teh Strongsauce".

    1. Man And Women Power is too cumbersome. How about TraditionalViewOfMarriagePower? Actually I like StrongSauce. Maybe with a picture of me dressed up as a habanero?

  2. I thought about that, but it sounds like a civil rights movement to me.

  3. We could have RATM playing in the background at all times.

  4. Oh if you could find a midi version of Bulls On Parade, then I would totally support having that cycling in the background while I philosophize.

    1. Hmm, very appropos Steve...hey, we could call it Appropos
      1. fitting; at the right time; to the purpose; opportunely.

  5. BTW, I have no PC concerns. Originally, my intent was to do something only male-related, and that still may be the best thing to do. But I've also linked the blog to church members, plus post on FB, so I know that women are reading too and didn't want them to think they weren't welcome to comment.

    1. And I'd say that most topics aren't strictly male-related.

  6. What about 'Stick'?
    It has several meanings.
    1. an actual stick, as in branch, as in 'I am the vine, you are the branches'
    2. to 'stick' a landing means to hit it perfectly
    3. hopefully the things we talk about 'stick' with us and to us in an effective way
